The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change

Psychotherapy

Welcome! I commend you for taking the first step in seeking support with the challenges you are facing – embarking on the intimidating and at times overwhelming process of therapy is incredibly courageous, inspiring, and exciting! It is my intention to provide compassionate, non-judgemental, and facilitative support as we collaboratively journey through an empowering, uplifting, and rewarding therapeutic process.

My aim is to cultivate a safe space in which you can explore and better understand yourself, as well as help you address a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Grief
  • Trauma
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low self-esteem
  • Other challenges in daily living

When it comes to long term wellness, I strongly believe that physical and mental health go hand in hand. As a psychotherapist and registered yoga teacher (RYT), I trust in the benefits that yoga and mindfulness practices can offer not only for personal healing and growth, but also for stress reduction, emotion regulation and enhanced mental well-being. I therefore tend to use a holistic approach in my sessions in which I integrate a variety of mindfulness-based approaches and body-based techniques along with elements from various modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT)
  • Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT)
  • Somatic Therapy
  • Polyvagal Theory
  • Attachment Theory

Population: I work with adolescents and adults, offering culturally sensitive individual psychotherapy.
